The Watsonville Wildcatz came into last Sat evening’s showdown with Lincoln in the finals of the Central Coast Section Division I soccer playoffs as heavy favorites and with history on their side.

Along with the remarkable Bellarmine Prep soccer program, Watsonville stood as one of the most decorated teams in section history, having captured a stunning eleven titles in the first 46 years of CCS postseason competition, including a share of the 2016 Open Division championship with Archbishop Mitty.
